Ninel Conde's Mother Passes Away

      Ninel Conde is experiencing a difficult moment in her life: Mirna, her mother, died from cancer today in Mexico, as confirmed by the actress-singer's representative.

      In recent interviews with the press, 37-year-old Conde talked about the weakening state of her mother, who last year underwent surgery to remove a cancerous mole, but the disease eventually spread to her pancreas. "She’s very fragile. I want to be with her," Conde said at that time, with tears in her eyes.

      Conde has always expressed love and admiration for her mother. In a recent interview with Univision.com, she described her mother as role model. "She sets the standard, and her example is a great one to follow. For me, she represents a mother and a father. She has great principles and values. She raised six children when my father wasn't there. The truth is I've always lived in a matriarchy, and now with my daughter the story will repeat itself. That's why I follow her example – she worked and got home late at night, but I was never lacking in love or affection from my mother, which are things you never forget," she added.
