Carlos Vives Is Finally Divorced

After a two-year court battle, the singer has agreed to pay his ex-wife $25,000 per month

      At last, Carlos Vives is a free man. The singer finally obtained a divorce from his second wife, Herlinda Gómez, after two long years of litigation. But a return to bachelorhood will have its price for the singer, as he will have to pay his ex wife $25,000 every month.

      According to a Mexican magazine, a Miami family court dictated a resolution last Saturday, February 28, which stated that the singer, 36, must pay the aforementioned pension to Gómez, in addition to giving her his Miami mansion, (which is valued at $1 million dollars!).

      Herlinda Gómez, with whom Vives has two kids: Carlos Enrique, 15 and Lucía, 12, solicited a divorce from the singer in 2006, alleging that he had committed acts of infidelity with former Miss Colombia Claudia Elena Vásquez, who is currently expecting Vives' child.
