Yesterday morning, Thalía Sodi, 35, gave birth to a little girl who will be called Sabrina Sakaë.

Her publicist sent People En Espanol.com a press release at 4:15 p.m., Eastern Time, confirming that the baby was born.

The press release says that Thalía and her husband, music executive Tommy Mottola, 58, are parents to a healthy baby, weighing 8 pounds, 4 ounces.

“Mother, father and baby Sabrina are all healthy and very happy and will be residing at their ranch in Colorado,” the singer’s publicist informs.

It’s still not known if the baby was born in New York or Colorado.

The girl’s name, Sabrina Sakaë, has two meanings. The first name means “princess” in English, and the second means “prosperity” in Japanese.
