Britney's Family Still Has Power Over Her Estate

      After being granted temporary legal control over his daughter Britney Spears in an emergency court hearing Feb. 1, Jamie Spears will now continue to hold the reigns, People.com reports. On Thursday a commissioner ruled to extend Jamie's control over the troubled pop star’s estate in an effort to keep Britney out of trouble. The court also named the singer's brother Bryan a co-trustee of her $100-million fortune.

      Last Friday, Los Angeles Superior Court Commissioner Reva Goetz put Jamie Spears in charge of his daughter’s estate and her well-being. Since then, Britney’s dad has kept a close watch on the “Gimme More” singer by restricting her visitors and making sure she doesn’t do anything too over-the-top, like wear her now-famous pink wig or make overnight visits to the Four Seasons hotel.

      So how has the pop songstress been spending her time? She’s been spotted shopping with her mom Lynne Spears, and even taught a dance class to a group of six children at the Millennium Dance Complex, where she choreographed routines for the Madonna songs “Material Girl” and “True Blue.”

      “She even played age-appropriate games in a circle, pretending to be a choo-choo train," dance studio director Robert Baker said. "Britney was just amazing with the kids and everyone ended up having a blast. At the end of the hour class, all the kids hugged Britney and she seemed very happy."
