Salma Hayek Shields Her Daughter from Paparazzo

      Salma Hayek’s maternal instincts came out during a confrontation with a paparazzo yesterday on New York’s Fifth Avenue outside of Bergdorf & Goodman, a store close to the hotel where she and her fiancé François-Henri Pinault are staying. The 41-year-old actress was furious when the photographer got too close to her daughter Valentina Paloma.

      Hayek was leaving the store with her daughter, who’s now more than 4 months old, when the photographer tried to get a close-up of the little girl. The new mom immediately reacted, shouting at the paparazzo to get away from her child.

      This is the first time the Mexican actress – who’s typically patient and polite with the press – has really lost her cool while having her picture taken. The lesson? Don’t mess with her daughter.
