It’s something that we’re going to have to get used to, because the climate is changing and [creating] more disasters,” the 38-year-old singer told Nicaraguan newspaper El Nuevo Diario. The artist added that the concert will be a show “that they’ll remember for awhile.” Reports inform that the “Corazón partío” singer will take advantage of the trip to lend a hand – will the help of the ALAS foundation – to various non-governmental foundations that work in the region. According to Mexican daily EL Universal, Colombian singer Shakira, spokesperson for ALAS, recently made a million-dollar donation.
