At Last: Salma Hayek Has a Baby Girl!

      Without giving up too many details, except that "the mother and baby are doing well," Cari Ross, Salma Hayek's PR representative, confirmed that the 41-year-old actress gave birth to a daughter who will be named Valentina Paloma Pinault.

      Hayek and her fiancé, Francois-Henri Pinault, 45, were seen entering Los Angeles's Cedars-Sinai hospital on Thursday, although it's still not known exactly when the baby was born.

      Rumors started spreading Friday morning that the little girl had already been born, but the publicist of the Frida star told Peopleenespanol.com that this wasn't true. Meanwhile, her father, Sami Hayek, denied the gossip to Mexican daily El Universal.

      Early Saturday morning, an official press release to the media confirmed the arrival of the little girl, indicating that she could have been born Friday afternoon.

      Hayek gave word of her pregnancy and engagement to Pinault last March.
