Kate del Castillo: “I've never wanted to be [Salma Hayek]”

The actress said she didn't want to imitate Hayek's successful career; she says she'll do it her own way

Kate del Castillo is trying hard to conquer Hollywood, and many have compared her with Salma Hayek, who has been the most successful Mexican to hit the big screen in Hollywood. However, the Under the Same Moon (La misma luna) star doesn't like to be compared, and prefers to make her own path to stardom.

“I've never wanted to be like her, not because I don't think she's done a great job, but because I'm me, and I have my own path," said the 36-year-old actress on La oreja (Televisa).

The daughter of Eric del Castillo has said that she feels very comfortable auditioning in the U.S.

“I audition like I always do," said Aarón Díaz's girlfriend. “I feel like any other person, and if I've gotten jobs, it's because they've liked my work.
