In an interview Sunday with the show
El francotirador (Frecuencia Latina), lawyer
Freddy Escobar announced his plans to sue TV host
Laura Bozzo for having minors who were supposed sexual-abuse victims on her show
Laura en acción, Notimex news agency reports.
“In the media, you can’t report on news that deals with adolescents and children who have been victims or criminals,” the lawyer said, after explaining that many of the minors are now scarred psychologically.
Escobar added that the lawsuit – which will request damages of $1 million – will be filed against Bozzo and Telemundo, the Florida-based network that aired the talk show.
Telemundo axed Bozzo’s show after the program supposedly hired fraudulent panelists. Bozzo recently resigned from channel nine, which aired the show.
Peopleenespanol.com tried to get in contact with Telemundo network representatives, but they have yet to respond.
