Kate del Castillo and Aarón Díaz Call It Quits

The reason behind the breakup isn’t known, but the actor says they’re doing fine

Just when we thought that everything was smooth sailing in the relationship between Kate del Castillo and Aaron Díaz, the unexpected happened. The actor has revealed that his romance with the 34-year-old actress is over.

“Kate and I broke up, but it’s all ok. She’s an excellent woman, the truth is I respect her. We hadn’t said anything about it because it wasn’t the right moment, but we talked and now we can say it. It was a beautiful relationship and we’re happy,” the 25-year-old actor told the Mexican press.

It was rumored that Del Castillo wanted to make their romance more official, but Díaz denied the gossip. “That’s not the reason…We’re not going to explain every detail, but the only thing you need to know is that we ended it very, very well, [and] we talk all the time.”

The decision to breakup – which seems to have been a mutual one – didn’t leave the two on bad terms, according to Díaz. “I continue to respect and admire her a lot, she’s an excellent woman in every sense, I don’t have a single complaint. Her family is great, I get along well with all of them, and fortunately it all turned out for the best,” he added without supplying any more details.
