Paulina Rubio Denied U.S. Residency for Drug Use?

      According to Mexican newspaper El Diario de Chihuahua, Paulina Rubio was denied U.S. residency after a drug test that supposedly came out positive.

      Reports inform that on Sept. 13, the 36-year-old singer and her husband, Nicolás Vallejo-Nágera, went to the U.S. consulate in Juárez, Mexico, to take the first steps toward achieving residency. As part of the process, the two underwent a medical exam, and the "Golden Girl" – as she's known in Mexico – allegedly tested positive for marijuana, while her husband tested positive for ecstasy, cocaine and marijuana.

      The publication said the pair went to the International Medical Clinic, where the singer was asked if she was pregnant, and responded that she wasn’t. Her height and weight were other details revealed by the clinic.

      Peopleenespanol.com contacted the Mexican singer’s PR agency, and we were told they knew nothing of the allegations at the time. “We find out about things from the media. We don’t know anything because this supposedly occurred in Mexico. But lawyers are already working on it in Mexico. We really don’t know anything,” a representative told us.
