Festival People en Español 2014 begins!

After a long year wait, Festival People en Español is back at Henry B. González Convention Center in San Antonio.

We started the day at 9:30am with fitness trainer Mario Gómez who got everybody moving with an energetic zumba class.

The event was inaugurated by Isabel Sánchez who sang the National Anthem and tv host Poncho de Anda who introduced Monique Manso, publisher of People en Español, Armando Correa, editor of the magazine and congressman Joaquín Castro.

Manso expressed her gratitude to the people of San Antonio for hosting the event for the third year in a row. "This year we have doubled the number of free activities available compared to last year's event", she said.
