Bobby Pulido joins the roster of stars who will perform at the 2013 Festival People en Español, to be held during Labor Day weekend, on August 31 and September 1, in San Antonio, Texas.

The Mexican-American singer says he is doubly motivated to participate in the festival. “It’s an honor to be asked to partake for a second year in a row. Fortunately, this time around the schedule came together and I’ll be able to be there,” he told People en Español.

To cap things off, the city that hosts the festival is no stranger to the singer... For Pulido, a visit to San Antonio is a walk down memory lane, reminiscing on his years as a student. “I have great affection for this city. Not only for its many tourist attractions, but for the close ties that bind us. I studied at Saint Mary’s University and visit every time I have a chance, be it for personal or work reasons.”

Pulido anticipates he is preparing “something special for everyone attending,” with a repertoire that combines many of his hits as well as songs from his latest album, Lo mío.

In early March, we also confirmed the participation of Jencarlos Canela, who will be involved with the Festival in two ways: during the day he will share with the public at the free event offerings within the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center, and in the evening he will sing live as part of the concerts at the Alamodome, produced by Emilio Estefan.
