Thalía Has Virtual Baby Shower, But No Gifts for Her Daughter
The Mexican singer's online shower yesterday invited fans to donate for the prevention of preterm labor

As a spokesperson for the March of Dimes foundation, organization whose mission is to prevent birth defects, preterm labor and infant mortality, the also actress, 35, requested that all of her admirers donate to this honorable cause. "Nine months of a healthy pregnancy is the best gift you can give your future baby. In giving to the March of Dimes, my fans can help support vital research and programs to help babies and their families," the artist expressed.
The wife of Tommy Mottola, 58, joined the organization in 2005 with the hopes of educating women about how to maintain a healthy pregnancy and avoid premature births. As part of the campaign I Want My 9 Months, the vocalist encourages women to take action pre-pregnancy by speaking to a doctor about the risks of preterm labor.
The March of Dimes foundation will use donations collected at the virtual baby shower to fund education programs, research, community service and advocacy.
