Shaila Dúrcal Will Tie the Knot Soon

The Spanish singer announced that she'll say 'I do' in Acapulco in April

Shaila Dúrcal, daughter of the late singing legend Rocío Dúrcal, revealed to a Mexican magazine that she'll soon be leaving her single life behind. The 28-year-old singer is planning on getting married at the Acapulco port in Mexico, the country her mother adored. She'll also celebrate with a party in her native Spain for those who can't cross the pond for the Latin America ceremony.

The Spanish artist admitted that since she was a little girl, she's been "dreaming about a beautiful white dress with a long train, and being alongside my Prince Charming, like in princess stories." Her dreams will come true in April, and her prince will be Dorio Ferreira, a young Mexican man who stole her heart when he was working as an art director for SONY-BMG. Dorio has a 3-year-old daughter from a previous marriage.

The singer admitted to having "butterflies" and explained that she'll be keeping in mind her mother's hopes for her daughter's wedding, assuring that the legendary singer "would have been the first to get really excited" about the big day.

As for the dress designer, Dúrcal said "it will probably be Rosa Clara, because we've had a good connection since the beginning, and I think she understands what I want."

For now, the singer is focusing on her wedding and honeymoon plans; Thailand and the Philippines are in the running for the post-ceremony getaway. Dúrcal will then head back to the studio to start recording her next disc.
