RBD's Poncho to Return to Theater

The actor and singer will replace Kuno Becker in the Mexican production The Pillowman

Poncho Herrera
First Christian Chávez announced he would do play acting, and now fellow RBD member Alfonso "Poncho" Herrera is heading back to the theater. The music star kick-started his career by acting in plays like Las brujas de Salem and Cómo matar a un ruiseñor, and now he's planning on returning to drama by participating in The Pillowman, which will tour Mexico in March.

"I'm really enjoying doing these projects while being in the group. It's a personal project. I honestly believe that there's no limit to how you can continue to make yourself happy," the 24-year-old told the Mexican press. In the show, Herrera will play a disabled boy.

Naturally, the news made RBD fans nervous that Poncho might be leaving the band, but the artist sent the following message to reassure them that he's sticking around. "This doesn't mean that I'm leaving RBD. My bandmates and I all work on other things," he explained. Break a leg, Poncho!
