Pablo Montero Allegedly Found with Cocaine

The singer was arrested after being caught speeding in Miami

Singer and actor Pablo Montero, 33, had a huge run-in with the law this Monday. According to the police report, "a white powder in a clear bag" was found in his possession after being arrested for speeding in southern Florida on August 31st, around 1:20 P.M.

According to Escándalo TV (Telefutura), when the substance was analyzed, it was determined to be cocaine. Montero, who was driving a car that wasn't his, admitted that the drugs in the car were his. After the incident, the Mexican was released after paying bail charges.

This isn't Montero's first run-in with police: In November 2005, he was arrested in Monterrey, Mexico, for being involved in a fight with a group of mariachis at a private party. On top of that, a photographer recently sued the singer for having robbed him in Mexico, accusing Montero of stealing the flash of his camera and a lens case while trying to photograph the star on his way out of a bar.

Montero will have to appear before authorities in Miami next week. If found guilty in a Florida court for the crime (possession of cocaine), he could lose his migratory rights in the United States and perhaps not be able to enter the country for up to five years.
