According to the Metropolitan Police, Heathrow officers were "alerted about a disturbance" at the airport's terminal 5 at 5:11 p.m. "Subsequently, a 37-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of assaulting a police officer," said a police spokesperson. "She was taken to Heathrow Police Station, where she currently remains in custody."
According to People.com, although the authorities haven't made public the identity of the woman, a source has confirmed to the news agency Reuters, that the detained woman --who agents escorted off a plane that was headed for Los Angeles, CA-- was indeed Campbell. "Police were called to remove a passenger from a British Airways flight this afternoon," confirmed a spokesperson for British airport authorities.
This is Campbell's latest clash with the law. Last year, the supermodel was ordered to take anger management classes and do community service for five days at a New York sanitation garage after she allegedly threw a cellular phone at her cleaning lady.
