Actor Julián Gil suffered from a serious stomach virus during the taping of telenovela Los Barriga, set in Perú. After spending several days in the hospital, the actor is slowly recuperating.

The 37-year-old Argentinean explained that he got sick from something he ate, and he started having stomach pains before heading to the hospital, canceling all of his scheduled appointments.

"I was in the hospital for three days with a stomach virus that led to serious dehydration," said the actor, who was voted one of PEOPLE EN ESPAÑOL's Sexiest Men .

"Thank God for doctor Guiliana Más. I rested in bed for several days, drank a lot of liquids, and was hooked up to an I.V.; in addition, I was given antibiotics and was put on a strict diet," said the judge of Nuestra belleza latina(Univisión), who lost 15 pounds in four days due to the illness.
