José José reconciles with son José Joel

The singer and his eldest son reunited in Miami, ending a two-year feud. However, José José refuses to attend his son's wedding next month

After a two-year feud filled with accusations and bitter moments, José José and his eldest son José Joel have waved their white handkerchiefs in the air in sign of peace. The singer told Mexican newspaper El Universal that he and his son had reconciled.

"Last night José Joel went to my house in Miami with his girlfriend and we talked for a while, but we couldn't keep talking because of my trip,'' the 60-year-old singer said. Even though he smoothed things over with his son, the Mexican balladeer refuses to attend his son's wedding, scheduled for next month.

The singer –who played Erasmo Padilla in Televisa's hit soap opera La fea más bella– said he would not change his mind about not attending the wedding. He explained that his ex wife Anel, José Joel and his sister had dragged his name through the mud by making private matters public.

The singer –who is recuperating from a facial paralysis he suffered last year– once again criticized his ex wife Anel, who will soon publish a second book disclosing more intimate details of José José's life.
