Javier Bardem recibe nominación al Oscar

Su película, No Country For Old Men, compite en ocho categorías, al igual que There Will Be Blood

Esta mañana se dieron a conocer los nominados a la entrega número 80 de los premios Oscar.

La actriz Kathy Bates y el presidente de la Academia de Artes y Ciencias Cinematográficas de Hollywood,Sid Ganis, anunciaron los candidatos a recibir la estatuilla, la cual será entregada [si la huelga de escritores lo permite] el próximo 24 de febrero en el Teatro Kodak de Hollywood, CA.

Lo esperado sucedió: el español Javier Bardem recibió su segunda nominación al Oscar (previamente había sido por el filme Before Night Falls), ahora por su temible villano en No Country For Old Men.

Esta cinta de los hermanos Joel y Ethan Coen recibió la mayor cantidad de postulaciones, 8, al igual que el drama épico de Paul Thomas Anderson, There Will Be Blood.

La película independiente Juno fue la grata sorpresa este año de la Academia, quien la postuló a cuatro categorías, incluyendo Mejor Película del Año.

Como cada año, AMPAS (iniciales de la academia) se sacó un as bajo la manga e inesperadamente le otorgó a Michael Clayton,una película mainstream de Hollywood, nominaciones que otros filmes como Ratatouille, La Vie En Rose o Sweeney Todd tenían más mérito a recibirlas.

La entrega a lo mejor del cine del 2007 no será la excepción en premiar a los actores que realizaron personajes reales en la pantalla grande. Esta ocasión participan Marion Cotillard, como la legendaria Edith Piaf; Cate Blanchett con doble nominación como la Reina Isabel, y como el músico Bob Dylan.
