Hitmen assassinate former brother-in-law of Valentin Elizalde

The brother of the singer's former love interest was the victim of several hooded men who arrived at a party in the Mexican state of Sonora

The wave of violence that plagues many towns throughout Mexico has caught up to the former brother-in-law of the late Valentín Elizalde.

According to Mexican daily El Imparcial, Jorge Elías Rincón Avilés, the brother of Azucena Rincón, with whom the singer had a baby with when they were a couple, was assassinated by a group of hitmen during a party in the city of Hermosillo, in the Mexican state of Sonora.

Singer Cristián Javier Beltrán Quintero, known as El París, was also assassinated at the party, along with Saúl Lizárraga. Others who were shot at include the former sister-in-law of Elizalde, who was also shot at, and is now in critical condition in the hospital.

The police said the crime was committed by various hooded men who were using AR-15 and AK- 47 weapons.
