Dressed like a good witch and far from her home in McAllen, TX, the Mexican singer Gloria Trevi celebrated Halloween by giving a concert in Guadalajara, México, where she sang from her new album Una rosa blu (Deluxe Edition).

"It's awesome. I'm going to be able to celebrate it with the fans and we're all going to look very goolish," said the singer, 40, during a recent phone interview. "There are going to be vampires and ghosts everywhere."

And on November 2, the singer will return to her home and throw a big bash for the Mexican Día de los Muertos.

"My kids love it. We celebrate every November, and we eat "dead" bread, and candy, and afterward, we go trick-or-treating," said Trevi.

"But right now I'm working a lot. I have like 4 to 5 concerts a week, and I've been losing some weight. So lately I've been drinking a lot of protein shakes, and taking vitamin injections, and I've been trying to eat everything in sight," said Trevi, who's weighing 120 lbs. these days.

The Mexican singer, who got out of jail in 2004 after nearly 5 years of imprisonment, has her eyes fixed on a gold record.

"I'm in a good financial place. My career is doing well. I feel like I'm on the right path. And watch out Madonna and Michael Jackson because I'm back!" she said.
