With a crowd that kept dancing and singing nonstop to their favorite artist's hits, Newyoricans DLG started off he event's stellar lineup. "We came to add some flavor to this party with our music," said Miss Yaya, the newest member of the group.
The Dominican bachata boss, Héctor Acosta "EL Torito", was up next, and got the crowd going wild with his single "El anillo."
It couldn't have been a more perfect afternoon, as people enjoyed all the perks of the Verizon Wireless, ABC, Disney and State Farm tents. But it got even better when Melissa Marty, Nuestra Belleza Latina 2008, showed up. Along with other finalists from the Univisión show, the beautiful Boricua walked the runway, showing off some of JcPenney's best designs, including casualwear, evening wear, and even some sexy lingerie.
Special guests also made an appearance at the event, including Mark Indelicato, Ana Ortiz and Tony Plana, from Ugly Betty (ABC), as well as Mexican singer Jimena, and presenter Carlos Calderón, who made their way along the red carpet and posing for pictures with fans.
And when stormy clouds threatened to rain on the FIESTA, Colombian singer Fonseca got up on stage and practically cleared the skies, as he sung "Arroyito" and "Te mando flores," making the crowd cheer.
And for the grand finale, Luis Fonsi swooned audiences with his melodious voice, singing ballads like "Imagíname sin ti," as the sun was setting, which melted more than a few hearts in the crowd.
