Eva Longoria Parker Opens a Tex-Mex Restaurant

The actress is introducing foodies to Beso, a new hot spot boasting the best guacamole around

She might be thin, but Eva Longoria Parker loves to have some good eats. And now everyone can try her guacamole. Yesterday, the Desperate Housewives (ABC) co-star, 32, opened her exclusive Tex-Mex restaurant Beso, which she created with the help of chef Todd English in Hollywood.

"I make the best guacamole in the world," Parker said. "And my tortilla soup for which I am renowned for." The actress also picked out all of the restaurant's décor. "Everything is painted, every candle is lit, every glass has arrived," she told People.com.

Tony Parker's wife explained that her cooking abilities are much better than those of her character Gabrielle Solis on the popular show. "I'll go to a restaurant and if I have an amazing dish I'll go to the kitchen and ask the chef how he made it. And then I'll make him teach me," she said.

Celebrities like Sheryl Crow attended the opening, and of course her Desperate Housewives co-stars had a reserved table as well. "Doug Savant, Felicity [Huffman] and Nicolette [Sheriden], they all live around here," she added.
