Eric del Castillo: I Don't Want Kate to Be Alone

The actor hopes his daughter will get back with Aarón Díaz this holiday season

Eric del Castillo revealed on Mexican show La oreja (Televisa) that he wants Kate del Castillo to be happy this Christmas and get back together with her ex-boyfriend Aarón Díaz.

The 77-year-old actor said he would like to see his daughter in a stable relationship this holiday season. "I don't want my daughter to spend the rest of her life alone. I want her to get married to a man who knows how to make her happy," explained Del Castillo. "I don't have any objection to her being with Aaron, but she's the one who has to decide."

The concerned father said he'll respect any decision his daughter makes, but added that Díaz is "a good candidate, I have respect for him, and [the rest of my family] loves him. He's missed, but we think that the friendship is still there." Del Castillo also said that "the doors to my home are always open to him. I hope they come back."

It's still not known why the actress, 34, and her ex, 25, split up, although the two have said the decision was mutual, and that they remain good friends.

The actor, who plays Padre Gaspar in the telenovela Pasión (Univisión), plans on spending the New Year in peace in the company of his wife and two daughters.
