Marco Solís Marroquín, the father of Mexican singer and songwriter Marco Antonio Solís "El Buki" passed away last Saturday in Michoacan, Mexico. He was 88 years old and died of various illnesses related to his advanced age.

Friends and family reunited to say a final goodbye to the singer's father at a private mass held in Michoacan. After the wake, his remains were cremated.

Solís Marroquín was married to María Elena Sosa, with whom he had one daughter and six sons, including the famous singer.
