Dulce María's Big-Screen Debut

The RBD singer talked exclusively to Peopleenespanol.com about her first movie role

Some people work tirelessly until they achieve their dreams and Dulce María is one of them. After conquering the arena as a writer, singer and soap opera actress, the insatiable Mexican star, will make her big-screen debut this year. Dulce will star in a movie by Stan Jakubowicz, who also produced the hit film La mujer de mi hermano.

"It's really cool, I thought I wasn't going to be able to do it with all the commitments I have with the band [RBD]", the 22-year-old redhead said. "But we'll start filming in [mid 2008]."

The actress will play Leo, a young girl who falls blindly in love with a married man 20 years older than her who has an autistic son.

"The movie has a beautiful message," the RBD singer says. "I will play a very positive girl, with a lot of strength. It's a very promising movie."
