Don Omar's two-week trial ended on Tuesday in Carolina, Puerto Rico, when prosecutors asked that the case be dismissed due to conflicting testimony from two police officers.

Don Omar was arrested in September 2004 after authorities alleged that they found the singer inside his Hummer with a gun, a small bag of marijuana and US$1,200 in cash. He could have faced up to 10 years in prison if found guilty.

The reggaeton singer insisted he was innocent from the very beginning. "I have nothing to do with it", said Omar, referring to the gun and drugs.
