The troubled singer went on vacation in Baja California with Adnan Ghalib, her new paparazzo companion

With her custody battle going downhill and her psychological stability in question, Britney Spears is prescribing her own type of therapy: going on vacation. The pop star headed to Rosarito Beach in Baja California, Mexico with a group of friends, among them her eternal paparazzo pal Adnan Ghalib.

According to the local Ensenada newspaper El Vigia, the pair arrived at the Rosarito Beach hotel around 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday in black Cadillac Escalade. The 26-year-old singer checked into a junior suite costing $235 dollars a night.

"When I saw who it was, I asked for a picture and an autograph, but she didn't do it," a hotel employee said.

According to reports, Spears hit up a gift shop, where she bought a knockoff Gucci wallet. Ghalib, 35, bought a rosary. Together they spent around $60.

"She looked serious and haggard," a sales clerk told the paper. "She didn't have makeup on."
