Beyoncé & Shakira Compete In Four MTV Awards Categories

"Beautiful Liar," the video taped by this dynamic duo is in the running for four Video Music Awards

Beyoncé and Shakira together are sheer dynamite. "Beautiful Liar", the video of the song performed by the curvaceous American and the Colombian with the incomparable figure, was nominated by the MTV Video Music Awards in the following categories: Best Choreography, Best Collaboration, Best Direction and Best Editing. In this production, both artists have a similar look and dance to the beat of a catchy melody.

As if these four nominations weren't enough, Beyoncé got three other mentions, including Best Artist of the Year and Best Video of the Year for Irreplaceable, thus becoming the singer with most nominations along with Justin Timberlake. Not far behind were Kanye West and Rihanna, each with five nominations.

The Awards Ceremony, which recognizes artists in nine categories, will be broadcast live from the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas, Nev., on September 9th at 9 P.M.
