Andrea Legarreta gets reprimanded

The co-host of Hoy (Televisa) will be off the air for two weeks for doing an interview with a competing network, TV Azteca

One of the co-hosts of Hoy, Andrea Legarreta said that her employer Televisa, penalized her for giving an interview to competing network, TV Azteca.

The Mexican daily Reforma, said she wouldnt' be able to tape the next 10 episodes. The 36-year-old received a call from Ventaneando (TV Azteca), where she talked about her cousin's daughter, who was kidnapped by her cousin's husband.

"The main reason is because I showed up on TV Azteca. I don't know if it's because of what I said, but I have to adhere to their decision," said the host, who's been on the Hoy for ten years now.

"Now I'm fine, but when I got the news, it took me aback. I never thought that doing the interview would result in such dire consequences," said the host.
