Alejandro Sanz Has a Girlfriend of Two Years

The Spanish press report that the singer returned to Miami with Raquel Pereda, his longtime love interest

After spending the holidays in his native Spain, Alejandro Sanz headed back to Miami to continue promoting his latest album with his El tren de los momentos tour. But he didn't travel alone to the Florida city this time around; he was accompanied by his current girlfriend Raquel Pereda.

According to Hola.com, the Spanish singer, 39, has been dating Pereda for two years, surprising news considering not much has been said about the romance. Possible romance rumors sprung up last year when they were spotted kissing in Palma de Mallorca, Spain, but the website reports that the pair decided to keep their relationship under wraps because Pereda is part of the singer's professional team.

Last year was a difficult time for Sanz, who was faced with rumors that he conceived a child while having an affair, charged a former employee with extortion, was hospitalized for stress and had to cancel his tour, and apparently gained about 20 pounds. Hopefully, Pereda will bring some sunshine to the singer's life and make 2008 much better than 2007.
