The Mexican singer hasn't been able to visit her daughter, Frida Sofía–who was hospitalized for a drug overdose– because she's been in a rehab center in Mexico City

In the past few days, there's been a lot of speculation about the whereabouts of Alejandra Guzmán, after the singer hasn't shown up to visit her daughter, Frida Sofía, 16, who was hospitalized last week for an alcohol and drug overdose.

According to the online version of El Universal, journalist María Luisa Valdés Doria confirmed that the Mexican rockstar is under lockdown at a rehab center in Mexico City.

During the radio show Reporte última palabra (Reporte 98.5), Valdés Doria affirmed: "I got a call from a source and he said that he had a family member who's in the same rehab center as Alejandra. He saw her talking to family members two days ago."

The journalist also added that the 40-year-old singer is calm and well, and is expected to be released from rehab next week.
